Work at Height, alright?

The Work at Height Regulations have been with us in their current form since 2005 and before that there were more general regulations to deal with activities undertaken at height.

So, it is a matter of some concern that the activity below was caught on camera by one of the team at UKHSE Limited and despite advising the company of the lack of guard rails or measures to protect the public walking past the high street store; no action was taken by the Company.

Not only does the activity breach the regulations in that they have failed to take measures to prevent the fall  of the operatives, there are also issues relating to the requirements for planning the activity and for workers to be competent (trained and experienced). The list could go on but I am sure you get the idea. When will it stop? When will employees realise that this is just not worth the risk?

At UKHSE Limited, we have a team of consultants available to help you devise method statements and risk assessments that can then be used by your employees, we can also carryout inspections of your workplaces and work practices anywhere in the UK.

You may also consider that your employees need training to conduct their activities at height safely, we have courses covering many aspects of this area and are happy to tailor courses to suit specific customer requirements.

Why not give us a call on 0207 954 9218 to discuss your requirements.
